
JACKSON, Mississippi – Waggoner Engineering is pleased to announce the promotions of Ross Horton, PE, to Senior Project Engineer, Jason Allen, PE, to Senior Project Manager in our Mid-South Regional offices, and Stephen Thompson to Controller with ourCorporate Operations finance team.
Ross Horton
Previously a project engineer, Ross rejoined Waggoner in April 2019 following a stint with EFCO Corp. He joined Waggoner in 2013 as a project engineer providing site work design for wastewater treatment plant expansions.
A member of the ASCE North MS Chapter, and a Registered Professional Engineer in Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, Alabama, and Arkansas, Ross holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University.
Jason Allen
Jason joined Waggoner in 2018 as a project engineer with over a decade of experience designing and developing transportation and related projects across the Mid-South.
A Registered Professional Engineer in Mississippi and Tennessee, Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Christian Brothers University in Memphis.
Stephen Thompson
Previously a senior project manager, Thompson joined Waggoner in December 2020 as Project Manager/Client Account Manager and opened our Columbus, MS office earlier this year.
He has over 20 years of financial management experience directing multi-disciplinary teams in various industries, including utilities, hotel and gaming, and television.
A former United States Marine Corps captain, he is a member of the American Association of Blacks in Energy. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries of Jackson and 100 Black Men of Jackson, Inc.
Thompson holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Jackson State University.
