Waggoner employees enjoying the company picnic decided to give back—and did so with a splash. On June 10, Waggoner leaders sat in the dunking booth to help raise donations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (St. Jude). Although the minimum contribution was one dollar, employees were willing to donate much more to see their esteemed leaders cool off.
Before the picnic, Waggoner polled its employees for charity suggestions and why their nominated charities were their favorites. Waggoner utilized poll responses to determine one charity to benefit from funds raised at the company picnic dunking booth.
St. Jude was selected as the recipient of the dunking booth donations. The mission of St. Jude is “to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.”
Waggoner is dedicated to transforming communities, and the company hopes its donation impacts St. Jude’s operations and the children and families battling childhood cancer.
