
BATON ROUGE, La. – Waggoner Engineering, a full-service economic development, planning, program management, and engineering firm, welcomes Marcus Baker as Chief People Officer.
Baker will be headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he will manage cross-functional human resources initiatives to support over 250 employees across the firm’s 19 office locations.
For over 12 years, Baker has led people-focused and technology-informed initiatives for innovative, growing companies nationwide. His expertise covers all areas of human resources, including compensation, organizational design, talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, learning and benefits.
He has directed mergers and acquisitions (M&A) employee integration experiences, designing and executing standardized, repeatable processes that led to a 100% retention of key talent.

Baker earned a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management. He is a Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
