BATON ROUGE, La. – Waggoner Engineering is pleased to announce that Chris Chandler has been promoted to Director of Information Technology (IT).

In his new role as Director of IT, Chandler will lead Waggoner’s team of highly qualified IT professionals as they support personnel and performance. He will work closely with business leadership to execute technology strategy and ensure seamless IT operations across the firm’s 19 offices.

He previously served Waggoner as both senior civil designer and IT manager. His experience in this dual role aids his understanding and capability to align technical professionals’ needs with available technologies and IT resources.

Chandler has over 20 years of experience in civil design and information technology. He has strategically managed IT infrastructure for multiple companies, including end-user support and setup, software and hardware purchasing, server road mapping and maintenance, technology refresh planning, and management of MSP contracts, software subscriptions and vendor relationships.

He earned the IT Infrastructure Library® (ITIL) for IT Service Management certification earlier this year. The certification focuses on aligning a firm’s IT services with business needs.
