Stowers Named Among Hometown Rankin Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40

BRANDON, Miss. – Waggoner Engineering is proud to announce that John Stowers, PE, Project Manager has been named among Hometown Rankin Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 for 2025. This annual honor, sponsored by PriorityOne Bank, celebrates the next generation of professionals shaping Rankin County through leadership, innovation and service.

Stowers’ selection reflects not only his engineering excellence but also his commitment to delivering projects that make a lasting impact. Based in Waggoner’s Rankin County office in Downtown Brandon, he brings a strategic, client-focused approach to every project he leads.

He joined Waggoner in 2024 and quickly established himself as a trusted project manager. His work supports municipalities, utilities and public agencies across the region. Stowers currently serves as client account manager for Rankin County, as well as for the City of Ridgeland and Canton Municipal Utilities in neighboring Madison County.

“Since joining Waggoner, John has demonstrated strong initiative and has proactively worked to understand not only the numerous projects assigned to him, but also their importance to both our clients and the communities they serve,” said Darion Warren, Area Manager – Central Mississippi.

Stowers earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Mississippi State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Mississippi.
