BATON ROUGE, La. – Waggoner Engineering congratulates Joshua Olivier, PE, Project Manager, on his election as President of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Baton Rouge Branch for the 2025-2026 year.
His involvement with ASCE began during his studies at Louisiana State University, where he served as Captain of the Steel Bridge Competition for multiple years and as student chapter president in his senior year.
Olivier continued his membership in the Baton Rouge Branch, progressing over time through leadership positions as practitioner advisor, younger member chair, treasurer, secretary, vice president, and most recently, president-elect. In addition to his service at the Branch level, he has also served as the awards chairman for the Louisiana Section of ASCE since 2022.

Olivier joined Waggoner in 2018 as an engineer intern, gaining early experience in highway and bridge design, geometric design, and transportation studies. Now a Project Manager, he is an integral member of the bridge and structural team, contributing to the development of bridge and structural designs, including structural analysis and construction support.
As President of the Baton Rouge Branch of ASCE, he will also serve as Branch Director on the ASCE Louisiana Section Board of Directors.
These leadership roles underscore his longstanding commitment to strengthening connections among engineering professionals, students, and the broader community in the Capital Region.
