BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Waggoner Engineering, a leading civil engineering and professional consulting firm, today announced key leadership appointments at Atakapa Services, LLC, its wholly owned subsidiary specializing in the evaluation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of sanitary sewer and storm drain infrastructure.
David Burton, PMP, has been named President of Atakapa Services, where he will provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the company. Burton most recently served as Waggoner’s Vice President of Business Operations for the Alabama, Florida, and Georgia Business Unit, overseeing regional offices in Birmingham, Huntsville, and Pensacola, and helping drive growth and performance.
“David has been an integral leader within Waggoner, and his appointment reflects both his proven leadership and our confidence in Atakapa’s continued growth and strategic importance to the firm,” said Scott Phillips, President and CEO of Waggoner Engineering. “Atakapa plays a critical role in how we support our clients across the Gulf South, and David is well-positioned to lead the company into its next phase.”
In addition, Hayden Case, PE, MBA, has been promoted to Vice President of Atakapa Services, where he will oversee day-to-day operations across the company and its service locations throughout the Southeast United States. Case has been instrumental in supporting Atakapa’s growth and operational excellence since 2018, most recently serving as Operations Manager.
