
JACKSON, Miss. – April 15, 2022 – Waggoner Engineering, Inc., a full-service economic development, planning, program management, and engineering firm, welcomes David Ruhl, PE, RPG, BCES as a Program Manager in the firm’s Meridian office.
Ruhl has over 30 years of experience in civil/environmental fields, specifically engineering and geology, for various projects, including water and wastewater, airports, and environmental compliance.
Ruhl will manage the Consent Decree for the City of Meridian in his new role.
“We are extremely excited to have an engineer with David’s credentials joining our team,” said Ayad Taofik, MS, Area Manager at Waggoner. “His skills and experience, specifically in environmental compliance, solid waste permit, design, and related management, will be a tremendous asset for our clients.”
Before joining Waggoner, Ruhl was a senior project manager at Neel-Schaffer, overseeing the day-to-day operations in the Gulfport office while managing projects across several disciplines. His work included environmental audits for the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT), project design and construction management for several airports across Mississippi, and multiple sewer and water projects for the Mississippi Gulf Coast Hurricane Katrina Recovery Plan.
He also worked as a project manager for Nissan North America, EarthCon Consulting Group, and Montgomery Watson.
An American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists Board Certified Environmental Scientist, Ruhl is a registered Professional Engineer in Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, and Alabama, a Professional Geoscientist in Louisiana, and a Registered Professional Geologist in Mississippi. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Millsaps College and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University.
