JACKSON, Miss. – October 13, 2022 – Waggoner Engineering, Inc., a full-service economic development, planning, program management, and engineering firm, is pleased to announce that Brian Smith, PE, has joined the firm as a Senior Project Manager in our Jackson office. In his new role, Smith will manage all phases of project delivery, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing.
Smith has over 25 years of professional experience in environmental engineering, consulting, and project management.

Before joining Waggoner, Smith spent 27 years with SEMS, a regional environmental management firm. Most recently, he served as vice president and regional director for the Jackson and Memphis markets, with annual revenues of $2 million. He also managed a hazard waste permitted facility and multiple regional manufacturing facilities. His other roles include corporate health and safety officer, IT oversight, and client management and development.
A Registered Professional Engineer in Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, and Texas, Smith holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Mississippi State University.
