
JACKSON, Miss. – Waggoner Engineering, Inc., a full-service economic development, planning, program management, and engineering firm, is pleased to announce that Christopher Gant, PE, joins Waggoner as a Senior Project Manager in the Columbus office.
A retired Lieutenant Colonel with the Mississippi Air National Guard, Gant has over 30 years of strategic and tactical leadership within the military and private sector engineering career fields.
Before joining Waggoner, he spent over a decade with the 186th Air Refueling Wing in Meridian. He was the deputy commander of the Mission Support Group, managing the day-to-day operations of almost 500 personnel in a variety of units, and was the director of emergency operations, responsible for recovery operations from all artificial and natural disasters.
Gant also served as the base civil engineer with Civil Engineer Squadron, managing engineering operations and base physical plant services, which included 410,000 square feet of facilities on more than 135 acres of property.
Gant was also a vice president with Mississippi-based Worsham Brothers, Inc., and worked with the Mississippi Department of Transportation.
A licensed Professional Engineer in Mississippi, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University. He also received additional education and training from Air University, a professional military education university system of the United States Air Force.
