JACKSON, Miss. – Waggoner Engineering has promoted Charna Mosely to Vice President of HUD/FEMA Community Development Initiatives for Waggoner Resilience.
Waggoner Resilience, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Waggoner, helps communities recover from natural and man-made disasters.
In this new role, Mosely will work with small, disadvantaged communities throughout Mississippi and other states specific to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) disaster recovery and engineering-related services.
“Over the past 14-plus years, Charna has demonstrated her dedication time and time again to Waggoner in the very challenging and often thankless discipline of disaster recovery services,” said Disaster Recovery President Anthony Brister. “Whether developing proposals or executing disaster recovery services on behalf of the client, she has proven to be unyielding in her service to the team.”
Mosely joined Waggoner Engineering in 2008 as a grant specialist and soon afterward became grant manager in our New Orleans, LA office. She worked with the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and FEMA disaster recovery programs for the Louisiana Office of Community Development related to rebuilding infrastructure, schools, and housing.
Since then, she has served as a Waggoner Certified Project Manager for numerous transportation projects. She is currently overseeing disaster recovery projects in Texas and Florida.
Mosely has a Local Public Agency certification from the Mississippi Department of Transportation and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Jackson State University.
