Alon Barnes and Michael Buck are summer interns at Waggoner Engineering’s Jackson, Mississippi headquarters.
A senior at Jackson State University, Alon is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Alon is an American Society of Civil Engineering member and was named to the dean’s list and the National Honor Society at Jackson State.
Michael is a senior at the University of Mississippi pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He interned with Ergon and Neel-Schaffer on asphalt, emulsion, water, and wastewater projects. Named to the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, Michael has earned numerous academic awards. He was also a member of the Southwest Mississippi Community College and Delta State University baseball teams.
The two are spending time in several performance areas of the company, contributing to the work of several teams. The planned work areas include water and wastewater, hydraulics and hydrology, watershed, transportation, planning, construction, surveying, and project management.
