
GULFPORT, Miss. – Carlos Bell, CEM, Area Manager for the Gulf Coast Region at Waggoner Engineering, Inc., has been named Chairman of the 2024 Board of Trustees for Memorial Health System in Mississippi.
As Chairman, Bell will guide the Board in making strategic decisions for the not-for-profit medical complex jointly owned by the City of Gulfport and Harrison County. The Board also governs the Memorial Hospital in Stone County.
Bell has served on the Memorial Health System Board since 2016 when he was appointed jointly by the City of Gulfport City Council and the Harrison County Board of Supervisors. He served as the 2023 Vice Chairman.
A highly accomplished leader and manager, Bell rejoined Waggoner in 2022 as Area Manager and has extensive expertise in both governmental and technical realms, with experience in disaster recovery planning, project management, business development, and community relations.
Memorial Health System, located in Gulfport, Mississippi, has been serving the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 1946.
