JACKSON, Miss. – Waggoner Engineering is pleased to announce that Garrett Clarke has been promoted to Project Manager at the firm’s Jackson headquarters.
In this elevated role, Clarke will continue to monitor and oversee the project status for several Central Mississippi projects while providing client development, management and support.
Clarke spent the summer of 2021 as an intern with Waggoner and rejoined the firm in July 2023 as an assistant project manager.
Since then, he has supported the Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration’s Office of Broadband Expansion and Accessibility of Mississippi (BEAM), ensuring internet service providers comply with grant funding during the expansion of affordable, high-speed internet.
He has also led several projects for the City of Canton, Mississippi, including the Gateway Enhancements Project, Parker Street and Barfield Street Improvements, and Soldier Colony Road Improvements.
“From the start, Garrett demonstrated commitment to delivering quality projects for our clients and quickly began to exemplify the qualities and skills necessary to serve as a Project Manager,” said Darion Warren, Area Manager at Waggoner. “I am glad to have Garrett as part of our team and I know he will continue to contribute to our efforts in Central Mississippi.”
Clarke holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Mississippi.
