JACKSON, Miss. – Waggoner Engineering, a full-service economic development, planning, program management, and engineering firm, welcomes Wes Burkett, PLS as Survey Department Manager – Mississippi. He will work in the firm’s Jackson headquarters.
Burkett has over 30 years of experience in the architecture, engineering and consulting (AEC) industry. Since 2017 he has worked in the rail transportation sector as a rail design and field technician, providing surveying and management for capital and industrial projects.
A talented instructor, Burkett spent seven years as the drafting and design program coordinator for a community college. In this role, he taught drafting techniques, surveying practices and geographic information systems (GIS).
Burkett is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in Mississippi and a Mississippi Association of Professional Surveyors member.
He holds associate degrees in land survey technology as well as drafting and design technology and has past military experience in the US Navy and Mississippi Army National Guard.
