Waggoner Engineering internship promotional graphic split into two sides. The left side features photos of twelve interns under a header with the company’s internship webpage URL. The right side shows a laptop screen displaying Waggoner’s internship page and highlights three internship qualities—Engaging, Motivational, and Aspirational—each with a bold icon and short description about career development through real-world engineering experience.

This year, several of our summer interns chose to extend their Waggoner journey in part-time roles while completing their degrees, a decision that reflects both their dedication to the engineering profession and Waggoner’s commitment to shaping future leaders through hands-on experience

We are proud to recognize the following students who transitioned from temporary to part-time Engineering Intern Technician roles in August: Tywon Alexander, Jr., Will Campbell, Ireland Carter (Atakapa Services), Liam Dunn, Trinity Hilliard, Wesley Nottingham and Connor Ortego. Lanae Williams joined our team in September.

We also applaud the continued contributions of John Michael Jarrell and Laura Taylor (Atakapa Services), who have been serving in Engineering Intern Technician roles for more than a year.

Our interns are pursuing degrees at Bossier Parish Community College, Jackson State University, Louisiana State University, Louisiana Tech University, the University of Mississippi, and the University of Texas at Tyler, all while gaining practical experience in Waggoner offices across the Southeast

“These part-time employees bring fresh ideas from their studies while learning from the experience and guidance of our established staff,” said Johnnie Knobloch, Director of Human Resources. “We’re proud to call these students teammates, and proud that Waggoner is a place where careers begin and grow.”

Many of our full-time engineers began as interns. Waggoner remains committed to offering opportunities that empower students to solve community challenges and shape sustainable infrastructure from the very start, because great careers begin with great mentorship.
