JACKSON, Miss. – Waggoner Engineering, a leading civil engineering and professional consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Ryan Herndon has been named Director of Construction.
In this expanded role, Herndon will lead the Mississippi Construction Engineering Services group and oversee construction efforts across the state. His experience in field work, project leadership, and government relations gives him a comprehensive understanding of projects from start to finish.
From 2018 to 2019, Herndon served as Waggoner’s Senior Discipline Manager for Construction. He strengthened the firm’s construction engineering practices by emphasizing safety, quality control, constructability, and cross-disciplinary coordination. This focus ensured the successful delivery of technically demanding projects.

Herndon will remain an integral part of Waggoner’s Strategic Services/Government Relations team, continuing to assist clients in securing funding for complex infrastructure projects. His expertise in public-sector funding, regulations, and long-range planning enables him to align funding strategies with project execution.
