The Madison County broadband initiative is a unique opportunity to implement an initiative with the potential to have a lasting positive impact on over 2,900 households in an area of Madison County that suffers from a severe lack of broadband access. Waggoner was selected to provide a broadband assessment in the planning area to assist the County with defining the scope and requirements of the broadband initiative. Waggoner also assisted the County with the RFP process for selecting an Internet Service Provider and contract negotiations.

Services Provided
Waggoner assessed the current broadband infrastructure in the area and performed a gap analysis to address deficiencies. In addition, preliminary planning was performed, including a constructability review, a “make-ready” assessment, and a business model that evaluated capital and maintenance expenses for implementation.
