Waggoner Engineering provided design and project management services for a monorail system to be used in removing and replacing the Unit 1 A and B Forced Draft Fan Motors.
The new monorail system was designed to allow for more headroom and replacement of the existing turntable system with a custom monorail system to allow for easier access. The scope of work included verification of existing structural conditions for loading requirements as well as a 3D Building Model for inclusion in the Southern Company Engineering plant model.
