Under a six-year, $6 million project for the City of Monroe, Louisiana, Atakapa Services (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Waggoner) is cleaning and clearing the city’s underground drainage systems and sewers. GIS maps are being updated to identify critical infrastructure issues. The ongoing efforts are providing relief in flood-prone areas of the city by restoring drainage hydraulic carrying capacity, updating drainage infrastructure GIS data and providing rehabilitation recommendations. As of April 2024, 11 miles of pipe have been cleaned, 27 truckloads of debris have been removed and 444 catch basins have been cleaned and inspected.
